ROCKY MOUNT – Jimmy Edwin Pittman, age 70, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born in Fort Riley, KS on August 29, 1954, he was the son of the late Walter “Jack” E. Pittman and Peggy Ann Beach Pittman. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bobby Williams.

Jimmy accepted Jesus as a child at Blandwood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. He dedicated his life to being a loving son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. Jimmy loved spending time outdoors working in the yard, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is greatly loved and will be so dearly missed.

Jimmy leaves behind his three sisters, Elaine Gouldin (John) of Wake Forest, Jackie Williams of Rocky Mount, and Ellen Clay of Raleigh; his two special nieces and special nephew, Kimberly Gouldin, Tiffany Timberlake (Bryon) and Brian Williams (Amy); his two great-nephews, Hudson and Hayes Timberlake; his great-niece, Hadley Timberlake; and many cousins.

A Special Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jimmy’s memory to Proctor’s Chapel Baptist Church, 2917 Old Wilson Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
