ROCKY MOUNT – Wilma Patricia Hammond Rundell, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Born in Jamestown, NY on February 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Harold Hammond and Patricia Kilburn Hammond. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Hammond.
An active member of Englewood United Methodist Church, Wilma sang in the church choir and volunteered a lot of her time to various church missions. She believed in helping and giving back to others as much as she could. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many, Wilma will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Rundell; her daughter, Karen Rundell Barley and her husband Bruce; her grandchildren, Jacob Taylor Barley and his wife Ashley and Brandon Lee Barley and his wife Brianna; her great grandchildren, Easton Barley, Peyton Elizabeth Barley, and Greyson Lee Barley; her brother, William Hammond; and her sister, Roxanne Bickel.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Wilma’s life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Villenova Burial Association Cemetery in South Dayton, NY. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the graveside service.
