Teresa Hernandez Mejia Garcia

ROCKY MOUNT - Teresa Hernandez Mejia Garcia, age 71, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. Born in Jerecuardo, Mexico on October 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ilario Hernandez Flores and Refugio Mejia Colchado. Teresa was faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Never one to meet a stranger, she was known for always putting others before herself. Teresa was a dear and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many and will be dearly missed. Teresa is survived by her husband, Odilon Garcia; her daughters, Maria Garcia Hernandez, Ma Lourdes Garcia Hernandez, Veronica Garcia Hernandez, Maria Guadalupe Garcia Hernandez, and Alicia Garcia Hernandez; and her sons, Jose Felix Garcia Hernandez, Jesus Garcia Hernandez, Fernando Garcia Hernandez, and Jose Manuel Garcia Hernandez. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Father Tim Meares officiating. A visitation will be held following the Funeral Mass at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5:00 PM until 10:00 AM Friday morning.
