Mary Alice Trevathan Ezzell

ROCKY MOUNT – Mary Alice Trevathan Ezzell, age 91, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on June 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Trevathan and Mary Ella Harper Trevathan. A woman of great faith, Mary Alice was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church for many years. She retired from the Rocky Mount and Nash County Health Department after over 20 years. Following her retirement, she dedicated herself to spending time and caring for her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. A loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and special friend to many, Mary Alice will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Mary Alice is survived by her husband, Clarence Ezzell; her daughters, Robin Ezzell Case (Mark) and Mary Jo Ezzell Lockamy (Johnny); her grandchildren, Bobby Joe Lockamy (Heather), Allen Lockamy (Cortney), Michael Lockamy (Tawnya), and Amy Case Bulluck; her great grandchildren, Hailey Lockamy, Alexia Lockamy, Taylor Lockamy, Carter Lockamy, Maddox Lockamy, Brendan Bulluck, Tucker Bulluck, and Finnley Bulluck; and many extended family members and friends. A Funeral Service to celebrate Mary Alice’s life will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Glenn Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
