Marjorie "Peg" Cooper Fehnel, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born in Schenectady, NY on September 25, 1926 to Henry and Lillian Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Fehnel and two brothers, Leroy Cooper and Theodore Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Patti Gredler and husband Tim of Rocky Mount, NC; granddaughters, Megan Gredler of Wilmington, NC and Jennifer Gredler of Rocky Mount; her son, Bob Fehnel and wife Cheri of Rochester, NY; grandsons, Aaron Fehnel and wife Emily (and soon to be great-grandson) of Rochester, NY and Corey Fehnel of Boston, MA. Peg is also survived by her sister, Marion Puck of Zion, IL and brother, Roland Cooper of Ticonderoga, NY.
Peg was known for her wonderful smile and laugh; she befriended everyone she met. She loved to play bridge, golf, and travel. She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hats and the Special People of NUMC.
A celebration service to remember Peg will be held at Nashville United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 4:00p.m. The family will receive friends at Peg's home, 4944 Plantation Drive in the Red Oak community from 1:00-5:00p.m. Saturday afternoon.
A second celebration service to honor Peg will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Wayside Presbyterian Church in Erie, PA. Rev. Jim Haas will conduct the service.
