Mamie Lee Leonard

Mamie Lee Leonard, age 91, passed away Friday, August 03, 2012. Born in Whitakers on February 03, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank D. Hudgins and Nora Virginia Barnes Hudgins. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, W.H. “Sam” Leonard. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Ginger Kirchmier (George) and Cindy Mitchell (Dennis), both of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Kit Kirchmier of Amelia VA, Dee Kirchmier of Chesterfield VA, Caitlyn Moseley and Austin Mitchell, both of the home. The family will receive friends 10:00am - 11:00am Sunday, August 05, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home on 108 Drexel Court, Rocky Mount. A graveside service to remember Mamie will be held at 11:30am Sunday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Dr. Chet Rains will be officiating the service.
