Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Lois, Stacy and Mom. He was a stinker at times and I can say that because he wasn’t that much older than me. He liked to play tricks on Grandma, Pam and me. He didn’t want me to call him Uncle but in our later years I did anyway. I don’t think he minded as much as he did when he was in the 8th grade. Rest In Peace Uncle Alvin. You are in a better place. I love you all. Debbie

  2. Stacy, My heart goes out to you and your family at this time. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love you.

  3. So sorry to hear this. I worked with John at Phillips Fibers for many years. He always helped anyway he could. He loved to joke and carry on, but he always did his job.

  4. Coming to Rocky Mount and not seeing John Alvin is almost unimagineable. I will really miss him. I will never forget Alvin doing do-nuts in his wheelchair on the dance floor at Alexis’s wedding. There are a lots of memories that I have of things the Ashcat and I did together over the years. Much more than a cousin. Rest in peace, John. Larry
