Remembering working around the Varnell home many years ago and enjoying the cookouts and so on and sharing the church family. WC was a great man and will surely be missed. God Bless you Ann and all your family. Love Dorsey and Betty Malcolm
My heart and prayers are with Ann, Shane, Danny, and the rest of W.C.’s family. This is a tough change in the lives of those left behind, but W.C. is fully healed and forever happy, reunited with Matt and so many more who have gone on before. God bless you and keep you, and hold you warmly and tenderly in your days of grief.

Keeping you all in my prayers.
Our prayers are with you, Mrs. Ann, and all the Varnell family during your time of loss. Mr. Varnell loved the Lord and was one of my R.A. directors at Proctor’s Chapel back in the late ’60’s. We thank God for his life of Christian service, and that he is now with the Lord.
WC was very loving, giving man to his church family. He would drive his truck to church on Sunday with back filled with beautiful, delicious tomatoes for everyone . He kept a smile on his face and hug for everyone along with kind word. He will be greatly missed by his WEBC church family and West Edgecombe community . Our thoughts and prayers are with Ann,Danny,Shane, his grand children and other family members. Cherish the good times at lake Gaston, cookouts, farming memories til you meet him in heaven. GOD bless you all with peace and grace that only He can give. In Christian love and sympathy. Tom and Martha Barnes
