  2. Jo, Al and I are so very sorry for your loss. Your Dad was truly a Southern gentleman and will be greatly missed. All the years I’ve known your family, I don’t ever recall seeing your Dad without a smile on his face and a kind word. I know your heart is broken but he is no longer suffering and he and your Mom are walking hand in hand in heaven. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his arms around you and bring you peace and comfort. Teresa and Al Bullard

  3. Jo, I know you will miss your Dad, as will all of us at Ward Drug Company in Nashville. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. If you asked, as I often did he had some great business wisdom to bestow. He was always a gentleman and easy to please. Red will be missed by many. He is smiling now in the golden streets of heaven, catching up with all those who arrived there before he did!! Gary Glisson, Jenny Mayo and staff of Ward Drug Company

  4. I met Mr. Red in August, 1992 when he became part of the Nash County ABC Board where he served until June, 2000. He was very special to all and a joy to be around. We will miss your visits and your wonderful humor. Rosanne S. Kinsey, Bookkeeper for the Nash County ABC Board

  5. I meet Red when I first came to work with Kenan Transport Company in 1983. I will always remember Red for is jokes and warm smile, he was always full of life. I remember back in 1997 May meeting in Chapel Hill NC, we were at breakfast waiting to play golf, It was the President of Kenan Transport Golfing outing Mr. Lee Shaffer. Right before we left breakfast Red made a statement I sure wouldn’t like being on the team that wins against Mr. Shaffer..I guess you know who was on Mr. Shaffers team..Thats right Mr. Red Kimball. We will sure miss him, but we will keep the memories. John Jordan Terminal Manager Kenan Transport Co. Apex, NC

  6. Jo, I has indeed been my honor to know Mr. Red. He and my Dad shared a lot of memories on the porch of the beach house. What a wonder opportunity it was to get those two together. You have such wonderful memories of Red. Cherish and hold onto them tightly. Ed and Robin Congleton

  7. What a blessing it was having the Weldon Kimball family as neighbors in my youth. We had many good times sharing homemade ice cream during the hot summer months. One memory in particular stands out I can see Mr. Kimball approaching with his fist clenched and asking what does that smell like Of course; we as kids, never remembered the answer even though we had heard the very same question on numerous occasions. We could only look back in bewilderment; then he would say with great pride and joy GUNPOWDER and we would all have a good laugh. Another fond memory is your dad hitting golf balls in the church yard while we looked on, he genuinely enjoyed our company as he was practicing. I hope he was able to play to his hearts content in retirement. I wish that I could have thought to visit with your parents with my own redheads in tow. I think he would have liked thatwhere does the time go Michael Pirkey
