Walter “Brian” Eason

April 22, 1973 ~ March 1, 2022

ROCKY MOUNT - Walter "Brian" Eason, age 48, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Brian was born in Nash County, NC on April 22, 1973. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Will W. Eason, Jr. and Myrtalene L. Eason; and his maternal grandparents, Richard Ellis Rogers and Ella Privette Rogers. Brian was a 1992 graduate of Rocky Mount Academy, attended Pembroke State University and graduated from North Carolina State University in 1998. Together, he and his wife, Tatum, owned and operated Enfield Cotton Ginnery where they shared every aspect of business with each other. Brian was determined to make sure his wife could continue-on with their legacy by personally teaching her the ins and outs of each piece of machinery and equipment. Neighbors would often say he worked all the time, day and night, but always took time to enjoy his family and daily calls to his long-term friend, Shane Harris, whom he considered a brother. Brian was highly innovative and creative when it came to his business, such as designing a grain bin playhouse, a cotton picker machine slide, gym set as well as a beautiful quail aviary. He was described as a perfectionist with his equipment and wanted everything cared for. Brian always had a "can do" attitude while still being polite and a gentleman. All of this he did for his favorite girls, Tatum and Ella Walker. Brian lived life to the fullest and had a bright future ahead of him. He would take his daughter, Ella Walker, fishing, having gone just two weeks ago which she absolutely loved. Brian had a teddy bear heart under that strong man leader role. He loved his immediate family so much and ended every personal phone call with "love you". Brian may be gone but his spirit will forever live in our hearts. Brian is survived by his wife, Tatum Faithful Eason; his daughter, Ella Walker Eason; his parents, Dr. Frances and Walter Eason; numerous uncles, aunt, nieces, and nephews; his dedicated employees, Jose and Jason; his mother and father-in-law, Jan and Frankie Faithful; his sister-in-law, Fahlon Faithful Brown and husband John Paul; and brother-in-law, Dustin Faithful. A Funeral Service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
