Troy Allen Langston

ROCKY MOUNT - Troy Allen Langston, age 74, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Born in Wilson County, NC on March 27, 1947, he was the son of the late Speight Langston and Eva Langston Harrell. Troy was a loving and generous gentleman to both family and friends. Aside from enjoying an occasional moment out fishing, casting a line in search of the one that got away, he especially enjoyed being surrounded by others. His favorite place to be was out listening to live music at Westridge Grill, laughing and sharing a story or two, or three, definitely more than anyone could count. Blessed with a contagious personality, a welcoming smile, not a stranger could go by without befriending Troy, or as many children would refer to him as, "King Troy". A loving husband, caring father, dearest brother, and great friend to many, Troy will be forever missed and never forgotten. Troy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Bunn Langston of Rocky Mount; his son Michael Langston of Wilson; sisters Bonnie Johnson and husband Walter, Josephine Finch and husband Lin, and Glorice Edwards; his brother Melvin Langston; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service to celebrate Troy's life will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM, at the Finch Family Cemetery, 6571 US-117, Lucama, NC 27851, with Dr. Robert Westlund officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the burial at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Troy's name to Englewood Presbyterian Church, 100 S.
