Thomas Mayo Arrington

Thomas Mayo Arrington “Pete” was born June 28, 1948 in Nash County, NC to the late James Thomas and Tempie Lou Arrington. He entered into eternal rest on October 18, 2011. Thomas graduated from Swift Creek High School in Whitakers NC in 1967. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on April 1, 1974. Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2005 at Gods Tabernacle of Faith Deliverance and was baptized on July 21, 2005. He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Anthony Arrington of Nashville NC; two daughters, Rhonda (Wiley) Joyner and Kendra (James) Bryant of Rocky Mount NC; three grandsons, JaQuell “Jake” Bryant of Rocky Mount, Anthony Arrington II of New Bern NC, and Bryce Arrington of Nashville NC; three granddaughters, Briunna, Janiah, and Amia Bryant of Rocky Mount NC. Thomas will also be remembered by a very special lady, Emma Lorain Vick of Sharpsburg NC; four brothers, Melvin (Betty) Arrington, Ronnie (Lillie) Arrington, Stanley Arrington, and Willie (Rosa) Arrington; four sisters, Gloria (Bob) Anderson, Lorraine (John) Evans, Robin (Bossie) Hines, and Alethea Arrington; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A “Going Home” service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Oakland Cemetery in Nashville with Pastor Aileen Bryant officiating.
