Thomas Lee Pierce, 67, went to heaven on May 6, 2011, he was born in Nash county on May 22, 1943 to Edward Pierce and Sarah Atkins. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Tom was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired Edgecombe County farmer and employee. He could always be found fishing or hunting.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Regina and husband Paul; his son, Lee and wife Crystal; two sisters, Edith and Louise; grandchildren, Tommy, Joey, Mary, LeeAnn, Dillon and family friend Lewis Garris.
Church service will be held 6:00pm May 10, 2011 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Ron Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at his daughters home.

I will always remember his fishing & hunting stories. I loved being his neighbor and seeing him in the yard cutting grass, tending to his garden, or sitting on his front porch in his rocking chair. May his memory live on thru his children & grandchildren.
