Terry Allen Sowers

Terry Allen Sowers, age 67, of Rocky Mount, NC, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Nash General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born March 22, 1943 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Don and Marie Sowers. Terry was employed by Commercial Builders and retired from Hardee's Food Systems as the Director of Construction. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. A member of the West Mount Baptist Church, Terry was a devoted friend and neighbor. Above all, he was a wonderful husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Ramona; his loving daughter, Jill of Rocky Mount, NC; his siblings, Karen Dlesk (Eugene), Richard Sowers, Barbara Nicholson (Bob), Judy Rogers, Jeanie Husek (Bill), Pam Ammirante (Gene), and Jerry Sowers (Beth); and many precious cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at West Mount Baptist Church. Pastor Tim Hogan will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.
