NASHVILLE – Tammy Tippette Long, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She was born in Halifax County, NC on December 29, 1963. Tammy is survived by her husband, James Milton Long, Jr.; her sons, Jordan, Eric, and Joshua Long; her grandchildren, Peyton and Liam Long; her father, Joseph Rabon Tippette; her sisters, Kim Padilla and husband, Angel, and Sherrie Wright and husband, Jack; her brother, Joey Tippette and wife, Tina; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to celebrate Tammy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Angel Padilla officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.   1. To all the family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Tammy will be missed! We shared a love of humor and a few serious conversations as well. She was always discovering new things and always happy to share her knowledge. Fly high my precious cousin, we will meet again!
