Zack, Josh and Gabe, I am so sorry for your loss. Susan was a lovely person and always fun to be with. She always made us welcome in her home and had such a contagious smile. I will always cherish the many fun times we shared. I only regret that we lost contact over the past years. I have you precious young men in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Aunt Peggy

Dear Kelly, Zach, Josh and Gabe, I’m so sorry to read that Susan has passed away. I’m not sure if you guys will remember me. My name is Catherine Barnes and I was your next door neighbor when you lived on Pinehurst Dr in Wilson. Zach, Josh and Gabe…your mother was such a sweet woman. She was always kind to me and my family and we shared many laughs over the years about our children. I still think of her often as I walk and ride my bicycle around the neighborhood because she was the one who got me motivated to exercies more. I remember when she started her walking from your house to the front of the country club….a 3 mile walk and she was so full of energy. She walked almost every day. I can still hear her laugh. She laughed alot and always seemed to try to look at the bright side of any situation. One of my fondest memories is of you Gabe…..walking around the driveway in nothing but a diaper and a pacifier in your mouth! I hope you guys are doing well. Your mother was a wonderful and kind and loving woman. Kelly, I remember when you came to our street and I think you absolutely were the best thing that could ever happen to Susan. Your quiet kindness and love of her was so apparent and she seemed to be finally happy and peaceful when you came into her life. I know you cared for her all these years with a very strong love. It was easy to see that you two loved each other very much. I wish the best for all of you and I know you will miss your mom and wife very much. She was a fun lady to be around and she had a great spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sincerely, Catherine Barnes 4604 PInehurst Dr
