Rocky Mount - Silence Mari Davis Santiago, age 16, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Born in Hartford County, CT on September 1, 2005, she was the daughter of Nakia Lamont Davis and Joanna Santiago Perez.
Born with a heart of gold, Silence left a lasting imprint with everyone she encountered. Anytime a friend was in need she was there. Blessed with an outgoing personality, Silence was a star athlete at Wilson Preparatory Academy in Wilson where she excelled across a variety of sports and activities. Off the field or court, she was a highly regarded student and scholar always maintaining at or near a 4.0 GPA. A beautiful and loving soul, Silence will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Silence is survived by her parents; her sisters, Nakeya Davis, Vanessa Davis, and Jadore Davis; her brothers, Donovan Hall, Nakia Davis, Jr., Lawrence Davis, Alejandro Chavez, Ethan Davis, and Josiah Davis; her maternal and paternal grandparents, Maria Perez Santiago, Carmelo Santiago, Geneva Davis, and Andy Andrews; her aunts and uncles, Ana Warren, Antonio Rodriguez, Carmelo Perez Santiago, Christopher Powell, Donato Santiago Perez, Eric Alston, Jack Williams, Linda Robledo, Marisol Santiago Perez, Migdalia Ocasio Rodriguez, Rebecca Sato-Alston, Regina Davis, Kendall Alston, Sharif Davis, Sol Maria Perez, Tanya Davis, Travis Warren, and Uriely Powell; a special niece, Maribella Hall; and a host other of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
