ROCKY MOUNT - Rose Marie Weatherly, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on February 8, 1970, she is the daughter of Marvin Lee Moore and Lois Williams Moore. She is predeceased by her daughter, Heather Lee Drake.
Rose is survived by her husband of 27 years, James Weatherly, Sr.; her grandchildren, Jason Scott Stotesberry, Shannon Marie Stotesberry and Johnny Joe Stotesberry; her brother, Michael Lee Moore and his wife, Beverly of Rocky Mount; and numerous cousins.
A Special Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rose's memory to American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.

Lois Ann, So sorry about your loss of Rose. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and Lee. We pray that the Lord will give you comfort in the days ahead. So sorry we did not know about her passing until today.
I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for your loss to the Moore family , we have known them for years my dad , mom , sister , she will be greatly missed I remember as a kid going over there to their house they all were wondering nicest people , and especially rose was a cool person I remember the last time I seen her and her mom in Sharpsburg she talked to me a little bit & we both shared a laugh together just about how crazy life can be sometimes her words were comforting to me !!! P.S. We all gonna miss ya and we all Love ya Rose rest easy my awesome friend !!
My dear Cousin/Sister forever Rose 🌹 it’s almost been 3 years come mama’s birthday your Aunt Bettie October 13th. I was there with you, mama, brother Michael & cousin Beverly when you took your last breath joined your Daughter in heaven. I have thought about you every single day Rose I still see you walking up to my door & sometimes I swear, I see the tail in of your car & I’ll just up running to my very large living room window. We were the same age couple months apart we done 92% of everything together & I thank God for even me your last couple years together. Side by Side then & in about 47 years at the age 100 💯 as I promised mama I would life to if she would too she’s almost 86. Mama’s birthday is hard on me now but she took it as you loved her & wanted to share her birthday date with her. You know your Aunt Bettie she can find the worst thing ever turn it into something special. Until we meet again rocking side by side as I was blessed to do so many times on Uncle Lee front porch so remember to tell Heather & Lee I will be wanting my rocking chair but they are very welcome 🙏 to keep it warm and rocking for me until. In Jesus Christ name we pray 🤲 amen 🙏
