May God Bless each member of this family as she smiles down on all of us . Kaye Gupton Ellington
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk this road of sorrow. Howard and I would speak of our wives many years ago as we would meet for breakfast at Benvenue Grill on Saturday mornings. She was truly a beautiful lady. May the good times you shared bring comfort to you.
That is a lovely tribute, Kim,. Emilee Cantieri
Thank you for the kind words emilee. Robert Leonard
Rosa was a rare individual. The years working with her on the commemorative book about the flood were a joy. I can still hear her saying my name in that soft, refined, southern drawl. Memories of her are so vivid that it’s impossible to believe she’s gone. We’ll all miss her so much. Martha Fountain Johnson
Ms. Leonard was a true inspiration! She was my favorite teacher. She was patient, kind, and knew how to give space to let us grow. I miss her smile, and her knowing smirk. She was a beautiful gift to this world and will be missed!
So many memories, beginning in 1958 our trips to Costa Rica, New England, to the beach and to writers’ conferences. She was always there when I needed help, including being my nurse after surgery. I will so much miss answering the phone and hearing Emilee, this is Rosa. Farewell, my beloved friend. Emilee Hines Cantieri, Hendersonville, NC
