ROCKY MOUNT - Ronnie Phillip Miller, age 47, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on November 3, 1973. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Carroll; his brother, Sterling Carroll; grandfathers, Guy Miller, Charles Holmes, Robert House; and aunt, Jewell Webb.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tina Manning Miller; his sons, Timothy Miller, Devin Manning (Amy), Scott Miller all of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Ciera Miller (Lance); his grandchildren, Estela Cuellar, Lilianna Cuellar, and one on the way, Chloe Manning; his father, Raymond Miller of Palaski County, VA; his sisters, Tina Joyner and husband, Joey, of Rocky Mount, Virginia Carroll (Chris) of Sharpsburg, Teresa Adcock and husband, Robert, of Elm City, Crystal Reed of Montgomery County, VA; his brothers, William Carroll (Angie) of Nashville, JT Carroll (Karolina) of Elm City, Randy Manning (Jennifer) of Battleboro, Tommy Manning of Rocky Mount, Tim Manning of Battleboro; his grandmother, Nancy Holmes of Tarboro; his step-dad, Sammy Carroll (Becky) of Tarboro; an uncle; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service celebrating Ronnie's life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Matthew Manning officiating. Burial will follow the service at Matthias Merriman Manning Cemetery in Momeyer. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting the need for social distancing and wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time.

Tina and family, Words are hard to find at a time like this for the hurt is so deep and real. The most soothing I have found are in the poem of Footprints In the Sand…for during times like these you will only see one set of prints, this is when the Lord is carrying you. He will carry you when you can’t stand on your own. He is your strength, peace and comfort. Just know that Ronnie is not suffering anymore and he is in the arms of God. Hugs and prayers.
