Ronnie Edward Driver

Ronnie Edward Driver, Sr. CET. age 88 passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010. He was born in Wilson County August 21, 1922 to the late Nathan and Addie Taylor Driver. Mr. Driver was the founder of Ron's TV, Inc. a local and family owned electronic repair business since 1976. He was a graduate of Devry Technical Institute in 1955, RCA Institute in 1956, National Radio Institute in 1958, Coyne Electrical in 1961 and became a Certified Electronic Technician (CET # FLA102) in 1971. He was a member of the International Society of Certified Electronic Technicians (ISCET) and the National Electronic Service Dealers Association (NESDA). He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maggie Driver of the home; son, Ronnie E. Driver, Jr. and wife, Susan of Rocky Mount; daughters, Pat Sutton of Rocky Mount, Holly (Tommie) Driver of Myrtle Beach, SC; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one sister, Marie Metzler of Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy and Leslie Driver. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Griffin and Rev. Chet Rains officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 3124 Zebulon Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
