Robert L. Wells

Robert L Wells, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro, NC. He was born on December 14, 1917. Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Wells. He is survived by his children, Robert W. Wells and wife Phyllis of Rocky Mount, Donald C. Wells and wife Cathy of Stella, NC grandchildren; Melissa W. Phillips and husband Bill of Rocky Mount, Brandon Tabarrini and Dana Tabarrini of Stella, NC, and great-grandchildren, Courtney and Ashley Phillips of Rocky Mount. Mr. Wells was a member of Englewood Baptist Church and retired from Exxon after several years of service. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Cloer and Pastor Jack Givens officiating. At other times, the family will receive visitors at the home of Melissa and Bill Phillips in Rocky Mount.
