  1. We are so very sorry for your loss. You are in our prayers. You have our deepest sympathy. May God give you strength and courage during the coming days, weeks, and months ahead.

  2. Tony and Lisa, You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to call.

  3. Praying for all the King family. Rick and Sharon were dear friends to Rosie and I for many years before moving away from Kernersville. Rick was one of a kind. Many folks were expecting to see the King of Kings on the 21st but Rick is the guy who pulled it off! A King meets the King of Kings! Our hearts are broken for Ricks kids and his brothers and his mom and dad. See you one day again Rick!

  4. Richard, You had a profound impact on my life in many ways. You were as much my brother in life as my own I will truly miss you. To the King family, I love you all and rejoice in knowing thru Richards faith that we all will be with him again one day. I’m so sorry for your loss. Take Care, Ernest

  5. We are deeply sorry for your loss. We extend our deepest sympathy to each of the family.

  6. I’m very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire King family. Even though I hadn’t seen Rick in a while,I still think of him as my friend. I remember camping out in our backyards and building cabins and playing in the woods. I remember going to the creek in the summer, catching tadpoles and crawldads in a jar. We rode our bikes around the neighborhood and had fun like boys did in those days. I will miss him.. With deepest sympathy, Craig Grogan i

  7. I do not have the words to express my sympathy on the passing of a good friend that I have known all of my life. I considered Rick and the entire King Family a part of my family and my heart goes out to all of you that has lost a son, brother and loving father. Please know that the Steed family is thinking of you and praying that God comforts you in this difficult time. I wish I was there to be with the family in person. God Bless. Tracy Steed

  10. Our family and the UniFirst family will truly miss Richard. We will always be thankful for his leadership and words of wisdom. He had a special way of sharing life lessons and encouragement, from those lessons he learned by and those he lived by. Richard also had such a unique sense of humor that is irreplaceable and will be missed! We will forever remember Richards support and sincere involvement during our wedding in 2006. God bless all of the family and friends during this time and know that many people have great memories with Richard and he will continue to live through us all.

  11. Man Ricky I can not believe you are gone! I remember all those good times out in the back yard of Fairy, Thelma and Lois’ house! We use to play football and have some icecream afterwards! I miss those good ole days so much, no worries. Even though I didn’t get to see you often I have so many fond memories of you and your family. I’m sorry I can not be there today to morn but you are in my heart forever and I’m praying and thinking about your family! Love you man. Keith Flynt (Your Cousin) Also from Erin and her family and Andrew

  12. Rick you were a true friend the rides to school we shared are still some of the times that make me smile and even laugh at times, Even when we didn’t get to school. It had been a little over a year that we talked and then for a few minutes I will remember those. They talked of the red bug, I thought of the GTO’S that came after the bug and the van that you dad had to do the cleaning. God has called one the best to come home and we will miss you but shall be together to share the rewards. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. Mike (tony)Scott

  13. I got to know Richard at the Rocky Mount YMCA. During grueling work out classes at the old Y near the hospital, Richard would keep me laughing all the time. I continued to see him at the new Y where he traded classes for the exercise machines. His sense of humor and philosophical comments which he was always glad to offer, continued to put a smile on those who interacted with him. It was a pleasure to know Richard and his presence will surely be missed. Allan Barker
