Retha Bryant Bridgers

Retha Bryant Bridgers, 91, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born in Halifax County, NC on September 1, 1919 to the late Corbett Clarence and Blanche Lassiter Bryant. Mrs. Bridgers was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a retired sales clerk with Raper Drug on Sunset Avenue. Left to cherish her memory, her son, Freddie W. Bridgers and wife, June of Rocky Mount; Grandson, Bryan Bridgers and wife, Georgie of Red Oak, NC; Great-Grandchildren, Brittany Anna Bridgers and Savannah Carlie Bridgers both of Red Oak, NC. The family wishes to thank the staff of Guardian Care Nursing Home for the fine care given to Mrs. Bridgers for many years. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Brandon Dees officiating.
