Polly Ann Reynolds Warner

Rocky Mount – Rocky Mount – Polly Ann Reynolds Warner, age 81, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, after a brief illness.  Born in Rocky Mount, NC on January 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John Clifton “Cliff” Reynolds and Miriam Louise Taylor Reynolds.  Polly was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Fay Reynolds Mayo and her nieces, Sarah Mayo and Mimi Mayo Learn.  She is survived by her great-niece, Devin Learn Black.

A graduate of Rocky Mount Senior High School, Polly attended and received a Bachelor of Arts from UNC-Greensboro, a Master of Science from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Science in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill.  An avid supporter of the historical preservation of buildings in North Carolina, she was an active member of the North Carolina Preservation Society.  Polly also cared deeply about the environment and preserving it for future generations.

Polly was devoted to her church, Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, as well as her four-legged family, Millie and Baby, who were also devoted to her.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Polly’s life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 301 S Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Les Carpenter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Communities in Schools (CIS) Scholarship Fund, 201 S. Pearl Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or to the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church memorial fund.
