ROCKY MOUNT - Paul Sylvester Bulluck, age 88, was discharged to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on December 25, 1931, he was the son of the late John Alden and Pattie Culpepper Bulluck. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Christopher Bulluck; and 3 great-grandsons, Charlie Meador, and Wyatt and Luke Mason.
Sylvester was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea where he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. A former Deacon, he was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Sylvester was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be forever missed.
Sylvester leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons, Bruce Allen Bulluck and wife, Peggy, of Nashville and Paul Bryan Bulluck of Rocky Mount; and daughters, Judy Bulluck Meador and husband, Clyde, of Blue Ridge, VA and Becky Bulluck Sifford and husband, Clyde, of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie Sifford Worrell and Tyler Sifford, Jarrod Meador and Caitlyn Meador Mason, Vickie Greer, Charlie, David, and Tim Meador, and Carla Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Kevin and Becca Bartlett, Laikyn Worrell, Makaleigh, Ryne, and Taylor-Jane Moore, Josh Greer, Amanda Shannon, and Tim, Hunter, Rachel, and Emily Meador.
A Visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Brandon Dees officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 505 Englewood Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Bulluck’s passing. I remember very well growing up in West Mount and seeing he and his wife at community gatherings. My sympathy to the family for their lose.
I grew up in West Mount and remember him well. He was a true Patriot!!
Sylvester was my cousin. Pattie would visit us in Raleigh after Alden died. My Dad was Oliver Joyner, son of Millie Culpepper Joyner, she was the sister of Bud Culpper, the father of Pattie. I lost touch with Sylvester but thought of him often. May God comfort you. bud r
