Norma Dozier Robbins

Rocky Mount - Norma Dozier Robbins, daughter of John Sills and Norma Brice Dozier, passed away on July 7, 2011 at the age of 90. She was married to Charles Austin Robbins for 50 years. He preceded her in death as well as her brothers, John S. Dozier, Jr. and William B. Dozier. Surviving family members include sons: Charles Austin Robbins, Jr. and wife Grace, William Grover Robbins II and wife Melanie; daughter, Dee Robbins Gibson and husband Stewart, all of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Betsy Michau and husband Jarrett, John Robbins and wife Lauren, Duncan Gibson and wife Gardner, Brice Gibson, Margaret Gibson, Walker Robbins, Austin Robbins, Irby Robbins and Claiborne Robbins; and great-grandchildren, Myles and Riley Michau. In 1943 Norma Robbins graduated from the Women's College of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; now UNC-G. She was a longtime member of Lakeside Baptist Church where a service will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service in the reception hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, 1501 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Nash General Hospital and the Friends of Hospice of Nash General for their wonderful care and support of both Norma and the family.
