Nilanthi Perera Sirisena

Nilanthi Sirisena, age 70, passed away on February 02, 2013. She was born in Panadura, Sri Lanka on May 13, 1942 to Herbert and Ethel Perera.She was a graduate of Ladies College, Colombo, Sri Lanka and worked for over 30 years as the Office Manager at Rocky Mount Internal Medicine. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and being a grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Dr. Omatta M. Sirisena; her three daughters Hasanthika, Manoma, and Imali; her son-in-law Parker Kitterman; her granddaughter Neela Kitterman; her sister Keshini Perusinghe and nephew Dulantha Perusinghe;as well as many cherished relatives and friends in Rocky Mount and around the world. Nilanthi will also be missed by her beloved German shepherd Becky. A service to remember Nilanthi will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
