Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss! I remember the generosity that she and Mr Boone always gave to us when going to pick blueberries. Many times we were invited in for breakfast with that wonderful blueberry compote that could be eaten with hot biscuits or spilling over ice cream. May your memories be cherished as you find peace and strength in the days ahead.

  2. My name is Carlein. I am a Bible teacher. I am sorry for your loss. A scripture that has given me much comfort is Revelation 21.4 which promises that one day death shall be no more. I hope this truth brings you comfort also.

  3. I will be out of town next week and not able to attend the services. Please know that I loved Nell and she was a dear friend. My prayers are with the family.

  4. So sorry to hear of Mrs. Boone passing. She was one of the finest teachers I’ve ever had, and that spans 33 years of college, grad school, and countless courses from countless instructors in the computer and aviation fields. A nice lady, always a pleasure to be around. She had an exceptional ability to teach. I will not forget her.

  5. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God’s sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 2415; John 528,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 214) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts and your wonderful memories will give you some relief during this difficult time.

  6. Mrs. Boone was a special teacher to me when I moved to Rocky Mount the middle of my senior year. My chemistry class was hard but she made it easier!

  7. Mrs. Boone was so relatable and her stories, esp. about her college days, always ended humorously. She was never too busy to explain one-on-one if need be. God bless the family during this trying time.

  8. A fine lady! A fine Christian. I am blessed to have known her, first as my teacher and then as my sister in Christ. I will miss her sweet hugs. RIP Mrs. Nell Boone.

  9. Mrs. Boone was an excellent teacher who knew her craft well. I was blessed to have had a chance to learn from her. Prayers for the family during this time.

  10. She was a fine lady and I was privileged to know her the past seven years and her husband. I will miss them dearly until I see them in heaven. May the lord bless the family.

  11. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs Boone. She was so kind, so caring. I have such good memories of her as my teacher and as my friend. She will be so missed. Jane Hedgepeth

  12. We knew Nell as a neighbor and colleague since 1963, It was a privilege to observe as she made many valuable contributions to her profession and to the lives of her students. She always was keenly aware of the needs of the community and those around her. She will be greatly missed. We regret that we will be unable to attend her funeral service. Doug and Betsey Robertson

  13. To Neal, Bert, and all of the Boone family…my family’s thoughts are with all of you in this time of loss. I pray you will look upward for comfort and experience peace in knowing God is on the Throne during these and All Times. In Him, Steve Brower & family

  14. I’m so sorry for your loss. God promises to bring back to life, on earth, all who die and are in his memory. Knowing this has given me comfort and I pray you receive comfort from knowing this also.

  15. My deepest sympathy to Bert and Neal on the passing of your sweet mother. Nell took me under her wing and mentored me as a struggling beginning teacher at Northern Nash back in 1980. She has impacted many lives for the better, as well as mine. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Cindy Price

  16. I’m sure I speak for all who had the privilege of being taught Chemistry & Physics by Mrs. Boone at NNHS! She was the best! My thoughts and prayers of comfort and peace are with Neal, Bert and the rest of Mrs. Boone’s family now and in the days to come (Matthew 54)

  17. May the undeserved kindness of Jehovah God be with you during this difficult time and may you find comfort from the words found at Hosea 1314 which says From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them. Where are your stings, O Death Where is your destructiveness, O Grave Knowing that there is a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
