Millard Glenn Watson "Little Man" "Papa Smurf" Millard Glenn "Little Man" Watson, 61, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 14, 1950 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his father, F.C. Watson; mother, Mary Catherine Watson; and beloved daughter, Angela Kaye "Angie" Watson. "Little Man" leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Penny W. McLain and her husband, Steven, Crystal Lynn Watson both of the home and Candis Kaye Baker; step-daughter, Ann Mosley; grandchildren, Misty Griffin, Devin Moody, Zoe McLain, Jayden Baker; great-grandchild, Hunter Glenn Garcia; step grandchildren, Jessica, Crystal, and John; step great-grandchildren, Gracie, Noah and Adam; twin brother, Marvin Lynn (Christine); brothers, Walter (Amy), George (Windy), Charles (Betty Ruth), David (Kim) Rev. James Watson ( Polly); sisters, Mary Louise Varnell (Smarty), Nancy Carol Moore (Ricky), Barbara Ann Gallick, Zola Catherine Watson, Betty Frances Gardner (Wilber), and Lisa Taylor (Russell); former wives, Nancy, Jo Ann and Debbie; extended family in Tennessee and Alabama along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. "Little Man" loved his goats, chickens, birds and horses. He loved being outdoors working "tinkering" on anything that needed to be fixed. He always had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. "Little Man" loved his daughters and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly but, remembered daily. He loved to eat a big ‘ole country boys meal and made sure he didn't miss many. Thank you to a wonderful son-in-law and caregiver, Steven McLain. The family would like to thank Community Home Care and Hospice. A special thank you to Crystal, Courtney, Chet and the CNAs for all of their care and companionship. The family would also like to thank West Edgecombe Baptist Church for all of their support and prayers. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 7:00-8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. James Watson and Rev. Lin Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.   4. As we make our journey throu this life, death is the final step. We feel the pain of the heart breaking loss of our loved ones. We need to trust in God’s word throu the Bible. Jehovah said he is near to those who are heart broken, & those who are crushed in spirit.(Ps.3418) Jesus said I am the vine & my Father is the culvator.(John151) What a great gift we have been givin, to have the hope of seening our loved ones again.
