Mildred Denton Batchelor

MOMEYER - Mildred Denton Batchelor of Momeyer, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was born March 26, 1931 in Nash County to the late Hubert M. and Bessie Joyner Denton. She spent her childhood years in the White Oak community. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Randall Hinton Batchelor, her brother Hubert (Bill) Denton, Jr., three sisters, Josephine Denton, Catherine Jones and Ruby Pearce. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ann Layton and husband Billy of Momeyer; her brother, Elton Denton and wife Polly of Nashville; four sister-in-laws, Barbara Jo Batchelor of Momeyer, Margaret Gay and husband Horace of Zebulon, Doris Grissom of Clayton, and Jeri Denton of Hickory; three grandchildren, Joshua Andrews of Nashville, Matthew Andrews and wife Tanya of Raleigh, and Kimberly Ward and husband Brandon of Quaker City, OH. Mildred was known as a sweet woman whose joy in life was her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Momeyer Baptist Church and loved traveling with senior citizens groups. She retired from Farmer's Home Administration in Nashville. A funeral service to remember Mildred will be held at 3:00p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Momeyer Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Arnold Rev. Woody Jones officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30 to 3:00p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Forrest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
