  15. Even though I never got a chance to meet Michael, he has touched my family in a special way. Myself, my wife and my 10-year-old son were one of the 1st people on the scene of the accident. We did not witness the accident while it occurred, however, we did arrive approximately 15 seconds afterwards. I hope it brings the family comfort in knowing Michael was unresponsive and did not appear to be in any pain from the moment we arrived. There was a physician there along with a few other people trying our best to get to Michael. We tried to pry open his door so the Dr. could get into him. When we couldnt open the door I busted out the drivers side window to give the Dr. access to Michael. As EMT, Fire and Police arrived my family left the scene. We prayed for Michael, his family and the other young man involved in the accident. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. [emailprotected] Stephen, Auleana and Drew Barnes

  19. It always hurts my heart when I learn of former students who have passed away, especially Michael. I remember him as being kind-hearted and very polite. He would do anything for anybody to help them. It is true what they say the good die young. But Michael has left a great legacy and example to follow. We will miss you, Michael. He helped my husband set up the flowers for our pinning ceremony. He and his sister were the light of Tammys eyes! We all enjoyed her many anidotes and stories of her children! I still remember the one about the string cheese in the microwave…Michael was just trying to be a good big brother and warm some cheese for his sister!
