Mavis Brown Bulluck Vick

Rocky Mount - Mavis Brown Bulluck Vick, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Born in Nash County, NC on September 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Brown, Sr. and Mary Brock Brown. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Sidney Bulluck and her second husband, Randolph Vick; one son, Charles Steven Bulluck, one sister, Naomi Brown and two brothers, George Brown Jr. and Muriel Brown. Mavis retired from Nash General Hospital after many years of service. She was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church for 30 years where she was the treasurer for 25 years. She was an inspiration to all her family and was loved by all who knew her. Mavis leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Bruce Bulluck and his wife, Betty, of Elm City, NC. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Beverly Bulluck of Elm City, NC; two sisters, Joyce Huneycutt of Rocky Mount and Eleanor Nelms of Winterville, NC. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804 with Reverend Glenn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 Noon to 2:00pm the day of the service, and other times at 1623 N. Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount, NC.
