  1. There are a lot of memories for me. I’ve known Matt for 6 yrs. I take care of his daughter. He was always there if you wanted him he was so good to me an the one thing ” He said to me you have no idea how much you mean to us”. Good man husband ,father. Go rest high on that mountain RIP buddy. Angel will miss you

  2. Will always appreciate the kindness you shared with our family after one of the hurricanes in Atlantic, NC. The neighbors still talk about you helping get generators started, cutting fallen trees and offering to help in so many ways. Thank you for being a fine example of ‘loving your neighbor’. You will surely be missed.

  5. Matthew, thank you for helping me and my husband with electrical problems that we were not able to do. We love you and miss you so much. Rest in peace

  6. Matt was such an outgoing friend. Always helping people every where he went, making sure people where taken care of, giving the shirt off his back to help someone. He laughed and made funny jokes constantly. I’ll never forget all the times we hung out together in his backyard, sitting in the barn laughing and joking around. One memory that sticks out with Matt when he and Andrew and others picked up tons of old Christmas trees and made a huge pile of them in the field by Andrew’s old house and we lit that pile of trees on fire for New Year’s Eve. The heat off that fire could be felt hundreds of feet away. We laughed and carried on throughout the evening. I’ll never forget his laugh. Matt will be missed by many. I’ll see you again brother when my time comes and the lord calls me home. Love ya brother
    Your freind Keith Evans
