Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
From Patrick Thomas (formerly of Rocky Mount, NC) I knew your mother well and we were friends in high school. The day I left to go to UNC-Chapel Hill in 1936, I stopped to see Mary Dunn and her mother and did not see her again although I remember her fondly. We both married and had families and my nieces (Betsy Thomas and Sandra Thomas Hall) were friends with your family. My friends (and roommates at UNC) Bill Winstead and Spencer Carlyle (both now deceased) often saw Mary Dunn in Greensboro at Womans College dances. I am 94 now and too often read of the passing of friends from Rocky Mount. I want your family to understand what a nice person your mother was. Lynn Patrick (Pat) Thomas
We are saddened by the loss of a wonderful person and a good neighbor. We know that Mary is no longer suffering and is in a better place and is reunited with Russell. Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends as they grieve Mary’s passing.
