  4. I remember singing with you in the Arlington Street Baptist Church choir back in the day. We whispered and wrote notes in the songbooks. Yet, we still heard every word. Thankful for those days. We shared the name Currie. We have a lot to look forward to in Heaven.

  5. Knowing that she is with Jesus this morning just as He promised and no longer suffering makes my heart glad for her. I shall never forget our golden high school years…two teen aged girls giggling about everything and keeping the road between the Goodie Shop and the Dairy Bar hot on the weekends in that little VW. We had such fun together. But I believe Jesus will soon be calling His church home and i will see you again and we can sit at His feet worshipping and praising Him together again. Goodbye for now…my precious friend and Sister in Christ.

  16. Dear Family, I grew up at Arlington Baptist. One of my favorites at the church was Mary. She was the epitome of Unconditional love. You could always see Christ in her life.I never saw her with a frown, she was always smiling. The beauty of the Lord was evident in her life. You knew where she stood with the Lord. Now, she is in presence of the One she sang about in the choir. She was talented and gifted in so many ways. I will be praying the good Lord with give you perfect peace and comfort. Because of God’s Amazing Grace, Ricky Donaldson, Pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen, NC.

  17. To Mary’s family, I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you for comfort knowing she is with the Lord forever, strength to carry you through until we see her again, and the peace knowing she is not suffering anymore. I met Mary many years ago when she worked at Hair Designers in Rocky Mount close to the first old Kmart building. She was so nice and always had a beautiful smile for everyone. I am sorry she had such a hard fight for so long, she did not deserve to suffer like that but then again neither did Jesus. His suffering is the reason we will see Mary again one day soon and be together forever in Eternity. Until then Mary, rest in peace my dear friend. Cheryl Ann Landin
