ROCKY MOUNT – Mary Catherine “Cathy” Ramsey Warrick, age 65, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on May 13, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Archie McNeil Ramsey, Jr. and Grace Kannervorf Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Warrick Hill; and her brother, Thomas “Tommy” Ramsey.
Cathy retired with Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc. after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Cathy was a frequent volunteer for both the Edgecombe and Wilson Schools. She loved and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Cathy will be missed by all who knew her.
Cathy is survived by her husband, James Warrick; her daughter, Elizabeth Harding (Gerald); her grandchildren, Kelsey Drischler (David), Tyler Seese (Gabby), Hannah Seese (William), Amber Hill, Daniel Harding, Brittany Sireci (Chris), and Brianna Barrett; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Minnie Frances Ramsey; her brothers, Joseph “Joey” Ramsey, Larry Ramsey, Charles “Chuck” Ramsey, and John “Johnny” Ramsey; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Wood officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and at other times at her granddaughter’s home, 246 Powell Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

Cathy being the wonderful baker she was always made me her old fashioned fudge. She just made me some at Christmas!! It was WONDERFUL as always!! Cathy was a wonderful, kind , giving woman. I loved her and glad I experienced her love. Thankful she will see her daughter again. I love you always Cathy.❤️🙏

A: My Aunt Cathy had the biggest ❤️ heart! She loved without judgement, she loved me, always kept faith in me & never gave up on me! She helped anyone she could all the kids at the schools and skating rink loved Nanny!!! I know she is in Heaven with Barbara and Grandma I will love you Always till I see you again!!!!

Cathy came into my life at a time when God knew I needed her guidance. She was a wonderful friend and always had time to listen to me ramble on life issues. I took her words of wisdom to heart so many times. Because of Cathy I am where I am today. Not only did she teach me she also listened. I will miss her so much.

“NANNIE” will be missed by so many . She was a GIVING person, full of love and compassion. Im thankful I was blessed to know and work with her. She has wonderful grandchildren that I had the pleasure of knowing and teaching ❤️.

Cathy was a friend to my aunt Shelby. When I first met Cathy she gave me such happiness telling me a few stories about my late aunt. We became fast friends and I called her an aunt. When I needed to vent she was there to listen. She was the one person that never judge and was always a positive force. I took her advice to heart and I will miss those phone calls just to check on me from her. God gained an angel when she left this world.
One of the nicest people I have over met. Would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She brought me so many lunches from Hardees when I was teaching school at Bullucks. I know she will be missed by her family and friends but what wonderful memories we will have of her for the rest of our lives.
