Rocky Mount – Marie Brown Robinson, age 87, one of the sweetest most Godly women to ever hit this earth, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Robinson on December 18, 1996. Marie was also proceeded in death, but reunited together with her beautiful grandson, Brock Robinson.
Marie graduated from Red Oak High School in 1957. She retired after 25 years of dedicated service with Kmart. Marie was a founding member of Rock Haven Church in 2008. She was well loved by so many friends and so well respected by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her. Marie may not have ranked too high in status on this earth, but she was a general in the spirit! She had the tenderness of the love of Jesus, and the healthy crops of the fruit of the spirit very evident in her life. Marie was a giving, funny, spitfire, truth speaker, spirit of a true Christian, and personality like no one else. She loved deep and prayed often. Marie was a woman of grace, mercy, and forgiveness. The jewels in her crown of life will be perpetually placed, because of her lasting impact on this earth. We will miss you dearly on this earth, but oh Mama, if we could see you now!
Marie is survived by her five children, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her extended family, and her Rock Haven Church family, who she loved like her own.

You were an angel here on earth.you will never be forgotten I am so honored to have known you for so many years so many fond memories I love you so much and I thank you for allowing my children to call you grandma and treating them as such you helped me in my walk with the Lord in so many ways you were truly a great woman of God in all you did rest well My dear friend rejoice in the Lord in your new home
I remember her well from my childhood when she & her family lived across the street from me and Gwen & I were friends. Later, it was a great pleasure to become better acquainted with her as I did business with her at K-Mart. Once again, after becoming acquainted with Pastor Lin, it was great to visit with her once again & to hear reports on her from him. She was a precious soul & I will always remember her with fond memories.
To Gwen & Lin, along with the rest of your family, I offer you my condolences on the passing of your mom from this earth. May all of your years of wonderful memories help sustain you in the days going forward until you are re-united again.
