Luby Moore Skinner December 02, 2009 WHITAKERS - Luby Moore Skinner, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was born in Nash County on October 6, 1913, daughter of the late Walter and Rebecca Moore. She was also predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Madison Skinner; grandson, Kurt Grady ; and sister, Mary Green. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Becky Grady and husband Dale of Greensboro and Marjorie Hopkins and husband Wallace of Browns Summit; son, James M. Skinner Jr. and fianc Angela Andrews of Whitakers; grandson, Trevor Grady of Charlotte; and step-grandson, Wally Hopkins and wife Trisha of Browns Summit. Luby will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Emily, Ryan, and Heath Hopkins, all of Browns Summit. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7-8:30 pm Friday, December 4, 2009 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A funeral service to remember Luby will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Allen Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
