ROCKY MOUNT - Louise Pennington Page, age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 24, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on August 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Roy Stanley Pennington and Mavis Augustus Stancil Pennington. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick "Clifton" Page, Sr. Louise was a Majorette in high school at Rocky Mount Senior High. A charter member of Englewood United Methodist Church, she took great joy in her involvement with the Children's Ministry. Louise began her career in banking with Planters National Bank until her retirement from RBC Centura Bank. An avid gardener, she loved to garden taking great pride in doing so, and was a member of the Rocky Mount Garden Club for many years. Louise had a very dedicated and loving personality and was the center of the family home. She especially cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, going above and beyond what was expected always. The passion she expressed for her family and friends was unconditional. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Louise will be forever missed by all of those who knew her and never forgotten. Louise is survived by her sons, Fred Page (Celine) of Wendell, Roy Page (Lynne) of Raleigh; her daughter, Kathy Page Rose (David) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Jason Page (Jessica), Jessica Lachermeier (Mitch), Jordan Taylor (Kyle), Sara Kelly (Matt), Evan and Kendall Page, Forrest McGlone, and Jennings, Louise, and Mavis Rose; her great-grandchildren, Langley and Hudson Taylor; her brother, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert "Bobby" Pennington of Rocky Mount; her sister, Tonya Bandy of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews. A Funerial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S. Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. A visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM prior to the service in the Englewood United Methodist Church Narthex. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Englewood Methodist Church is requesting the need for social distancing and adherence to wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Louise's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
