Bill and JC, We are all truly blessed to have had such a wonderful lady and person as part of our lives. Linda was a great wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend! She will truly be missed by us all. This weekend’s memorial was a fitting way to celebrate her life because that is how she lived life, as a celebration. Even in difficult times, life was a celebration to her! What an example for us all to follow in the days, months and years ahead. I know too that she is now watching over us all from heaven. That very thought gives me great comfort as I continue down the path God has set before me. I hope that is does for you as well. Know that you are both loved, not only by Linda, but by all of us who were graced by her presence in our lives. Best, Matt
Bill and JC .. what a joy it was to be around Linda! You were both blessed for having her for a wife and mother. God will strengthen and comfort you for He knows your needs. My prayer would be that in time, when you think of her, it will bring a smile to your face along with some wonderful memories.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. Aunt Linda, you’re an awesome lady. ) I’m so glad I got to see you at Crystal River after so many years. I’m so sorry your time on Earth was cut short, but I’m sure you’re the source of lots of laughter in Heaven! Uncle Bill, JC, Mammaw and Dad, my heart aches for all of you at this difficult time. I love you all very much.
I remember all the funny stories Linda would tell about JC when he was little. Amongst all of the moms, I think she got the biggest kick and the most joy out of being a mom. She was so vibrant and witty and added amazing warmth to every Smith gathering. I will miss her very much.

To my best friend, loving wife, caring mother, and an inspiration to everyone who ever met you. Know you are loved and missed by me , JC and everyone else. I will cherish the thirty four years we spent together. I love you!
My heart aches for Bill, J.C., myself, and everyone who knew and loved Linda. For to know Linda, was to love Linda. There was simply no other way. I will so miss her laughing eyes, kind touch, sharp intellect, and joyous spirit. While I truly wish she could have had more time on this earth, I take some comfort in the fact that she is in a better place where there is no suffering. And, I know that she is still with me — what we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. I have so many wonderful memories to sustain me, but I will always love and miss her terribly.
