Sandy Cross - Lettie Joyner Joyner, 90, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012. She was born on August 4, 1921 to the late Percy C. Joyner and Viola Roberson Joyner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Thomas Joyner and a son, Adie Ronald Taylor. Lettie was a life-long member of Barnes Hill Free Will Baptist Church where she was very active and dedicated. She also loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. Lettie is survived by her sons, Vernon Taylor and wife, Patricia of Nashville, Herbert Moss and wife, Pattie of Spring Hope, Cornelius Joyner and wife, Betty of Spring Hope, Barthell (Bart) Joyner of Rocky Mount, Malory Joyner and Bonnie of Selma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 7:00 - 8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Barnes Hill Free Will Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. H. E. Singleton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Barnes Hill Free Will Baptist, 5592 West Mount Drive, Nashville, NC 27856.
