Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I remember Leigh Johnson well as my 6th grade teacher at Parker Junior High School, as my fellow parishioner at First United Methodist Church, and as a dear friend of our family. My father taught alongside her husband at N.C. Wesleyan College for many years. Though I’ve not had the pleasure of seeing Leigh for many years, she will be missed her kindness, good humor, intelligence, and giving nature were a blessing to all who knew her, and her passion for teaching and learning was a great gift. I send my deep condolences to Allen and the rest of the family on this loss. May you find comfort in your own warm memories, and those of the many of us who knew and loved her.

  2. I met Leigh at NGH where she worked with another wonderful lady Susan N. White. What a sweet spirit. She lit up the place & will be sorely missed.

  3. Momma really LOVED to cook, and to share her talents with her friends! No visitor to the house managed to leave without being offered something. And she loved to surprise people with things she baked that she knew they liked, for no occasion at all! Her items at any Bake Sale disappeared quickly – sometimes before the sale began! People who knew her Amish Cinnamon Muffins were going to be there would put a Reserve on them.
