  1. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at the loss of Mr. Powell. God bless you all …a wonderful soul he was! A great man. But I’m comforted in knowing we will see him again one day in heaven. And being my Mama just passed last month, oh what a glorious reunion is happening now with them and many more, and it will be like this when we join them. Where is that Ford truck If there more automobiles to ride down the streets of gold he would be driving that and his Daddy with him.. or his Daddy might be driving and I would be jealous! 😊🙏🏻

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Stairway To The Heavens was purchased for the family of Lawrence Larry Powell by Love, Scott, Deborah, and Erica. Send Flowers A tree was also planted in memory of Lawrence Larry Powell

  3. Mr. Powell was so good and helpful to me (and others) over the years. He will be missed. Prayers for Kitty and the family.

  4. Kitty, Laura and family. I am so sorry about Larry. I met Larry when my father was going to Powell Tire for his cars many years ago. Larry was honest, fair and I always trusted what he and Freddie said about my tires. If Larry didn’t know then no one did. That’s why i continued to go there for the past 30+ years. Larry was one of a kind. He knew more about tires, bowling and Duke than anyone I know. He was so proud of his Laura and her family. Especially those 2 grandsons. Whether they were growing and selling watermelons, growing wildflowers or playing soccer he always had a smile on his face talking about them. Larry was a truly good man and we all miss him. God Bless you Larry! Ben Roberson

  5. Much love and prayers for Kitty, Laura and their families. Larry was one of a kind. Always had a smile on his face a joy in his voice! I have many great memories from my childhood of our bowling days and multi-family vacations! Rest in peace King Pin from your Termite!

  7. I am so very sorry to hear of Mr Powell’s passing. There’s no telling how many tires I have bought from him over the years. He was a very kind friendly man and we always shared a laugh when I saw him. He will be missed by anyone that knew him. My prayers are with all of you.
