Lit a candle in memory of Lawrence Courtney Parrish
Courtney and Imogene were dear to me. I loved them both. They are together again. Brett, Brian and Chris I love you guys too. You will be in my prayers. Brenda
Courtney coached us in football and baseball in the mid-fifties. Not only was he a good coach and mentor in words, he taught us by his actions as well. For instance, he was always neat and well dressed and presented a very positive image of himself and his team. he taught us the competitive aspects of team sports by having us physically and mentally prepared for our competition. He lept detailed data on each opposing player…we knew what each one would do in specific circumstances by studying historical data. All opposing player tendencies were known, and we were positioned accordingly. We were champs because we were encouraged and taught by a true champion, Lawrence Courtney Parrish! God bless you, Courtney, as you rest in the arms of Jesus. On behalf of all your Valley Boys Alumni, Doug Silas, Earl Clinton, and Roger Insley
