Laura Schlener Friedrich

ROCKY MOUNT - Laura Schlener Friedrich, age 69, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert Schlener and Marjorie Valentine Schlener. She is also predeceased by her husband, Peter William Friedrich.
She was a truly loving and faithful wife, dedicated mother and grandmother, and a devoted friend. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She loved and enjoyed riding with her husband Peter and their motorcycle family.
Laura leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Diana Friedrich Hutson and her husband, Shane, of Nashville, TN; sons, Chris Friedrich and his wife, Mickey, of Spring Hope, Jason Friedrich and his wife, Audrey, of Rocky Mount, and Peter Friedrich and his wife, Jennifer, of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christine, Jason, Robert, Adam, Ryan, Shannon, Kimberly, Justin, Ashley, Kathryn and Cody. She will also be remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thanks to all the members of the Blackcat Harley Davidson HOG and American Legion Riders NC 19. We would also like to thank all our wonderful customers that continue to support VIP Printing.
A Celebration of Laura's Life will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at 7:30 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Kelly Shope officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 58 in c/o VIP Printing, 1911 N. Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, in Laura's memory.

To the Friedrich family with my deepest condolences. I am sorry for your loss. I realize that no words will give you the solace to lessen your grief, but may you draw comfort from our Heavenly Father who comforts us during our trials and sorrows. He is near to the broken hearted and He wants to help. (Psalms 3418; Isaiah 4110). Be assured that God is well aware of your pain, and soon he will have his son, Christ Jesus resurrect all those in the memorial tomb as promised at John 528,29. When Jesus was on earth he demonstrated his ability to resurrect those who had died. (John 1143,44). Jesus will do so again on a global scale. May these scriptural promises bring a measure of peace.
