Larry Ray Woodcock

ROCKY MOUNT - Larry Ray Woodcock “PA”, age 64, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on February 11, 1958, he was the son of the late George Ray Woodcock and Odessa Maedell Joyner Woodcock. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Louis Stevenson Joyner. Larry worked for the railroad for over 27 years. He could fix anything and was a great handyman or jack of all trades. Larry enjoyed fishing and hunting. He filled his days spending time with family and making memories he dearly cherished. Larry loved his grandchildren and loved nothing better than spending time with them. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Larry is survived by his wife, Annette Bailey Woodcock; his children, Natalie McKeel and husband, Blake, Nathan Woodcock and wife, Natalie, Nicholas Woodcock and wife, Jamie, and Neil Woodcock and wife, Jana; his grandchildren, Emerson McKeel, Ellie McKeel, Chandler Woodcock, Bentley Woodcock, Laettner Woodcock, Lillian Woodcock, Olivia Woodcock, Isaac Woodcock, and Jack Woodcock; his step-children, Matthew Kelly and Brandon Kelly; his step-grandson, Carter Kelly; his aunt, Effie Cooley; his uncle, Milton Joyner; and numerous cousins. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 7:00 PM at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, 3732 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with his son, Neil Woodcock officiating. A visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of Sunset Avenue Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry's memory to Hebron Colony Ministries, Inc., 356 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, NC 28607.   1. I do not know Larry, but know Hebron Colony well. My Dad, Marion Bell, went to Hebron in 1969. Saved hisour lives. I recently told my granddaughter, if she ever really needed to talk to God, go to Hebron. Sit in the swing and he will be there.
