ROCKY MOUNT – Kenneth Edward Daniels, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.  Born in Edgecombe County, NC on November 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Barnes Eric Daniels and Edna Pierce Daniels.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia F. Daniels; his brother, Gerald Daniels; and his sister, Janice Richardson.

Kenneth was a hardworking man who found great joy in the simple things in life, especially time spent with the people he loved.  Throughout his working years, he built a career marked by dedication and a strong work ethic.  He worked for Coca-Cola in Wilson, where he served as a Fountain Supervisor, before later joining his brother with his business, Daniels Plumbing.  He eventually went on to work as a Route Salesman with Textilease Uniform Services, which later became part of UniFirst, before retiring.  Away from work, Kenneth was happiest outdoors or with his hands busy.  He loved camping and saltwater fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan with a special appreciation for classic cars.  More than simply admiring them, Kenneth enjoyed working on automobiles and bringing his mechanical interests to life.  Above all, he loved his family dearly and treasured the time he shared with them.  His beloved dog, Ruby, also held a special place in his heart and was a faithful companion who brought him much happiness.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Eric Daniels and wife, Tracy, and Brad Daniels and wife, Jennifer; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Daniels, Michael Daniels, Gretchen Daniels, and Noah Daniels; his brother, C.T. Daniels and wife, Carolyn; his sister, Edith Jenkins and husband (Mervin); his special nephew, Kenny Richardson, who stayed and cared for his uncle while allowing him to enjoy his final days at home with his companion, Ruby; and many other nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
