Joseph Frederick Fuller

Joseph Frederick Fuller II, age 69, departed from this life on Friday, October 26, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. He spent his entire life in Nash County and knew the area very well. Many folks knew him as a trusted friend. An avid outdoorsman, Fred loved nothing better than spending time in the outdoors hunting that trophy buck or being at our beloved Nags Head. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mamie Fuller, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Bartholomew. Fred served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an active Boy Scout and an active Jaycee who worked with Tri-County Industries. After 32 years of service, he retired from Abbott Labs. A graduate of East Carolina University, he later continued his education at Nash Community College where he was inducted in the National Honor Society. Fred was an active member of Battleboro United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, Bobbi Davis Fuller; and three sons, Joseph Frederick Fuller III (Freddie) and wife, Jenny, OBrien Bartholomew Fuller (Bart) and wife Heather, and Blake Russell Fuller and wife Lisa. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and he loved spending time with them. He is survived by his grandsons Cody and Jake; and granddaughters, Elizabeth, LeeAnn, Kimber, and Taylor. Fred will be greatly missed by his beloved pets, Bella, Freckles, Pete and Bo. A service to remember Fred will be held at 5:00pm Monday, October 29, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hayes officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
