To My Dear Friends; Betty Ruth and Ruth Ann, Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear about John. He always had that big smile on his face – no matter where or when I saw him. And I will always treasure the fond memories of you and John keeping the nursery at church ! With all his harmless treats of tying Gray up and putting her in the closet ) and laughing the entire time he is talking about it !! You have a precious family and everyone will miss John, but knowing he is in our Heavenly Fathers’ Home is so very comforting. Love, Jimmie & Lou Carson
Betty Ruth & Ruth Ann I’m very sorry to hear the news about John. John was a super person and great friend to me during the 20 years I lived in Rocky Mount and worked at WFMA, WCEC, WSAY & WRMT radio statons in which he engineered. You always knew that when John was around it was going to be fun day. He was a hoot and the stories he would tell and the times he would lend an ear and just listen; those moments were treasures. Even though I haven’t seen John since I left Rocky Mount nearly 10 years ago I would think of him often and I will miss him dearly. God Bless You both, Love, Rob Lynn

Betty Ruth, John was a great guy. He excelled in his work and often helped me with my electronic problems at the shop with prompt attention. As shared by others, he always had a smile on his face. May you cherish the many memories of his life during this difficult time. A friend and classmate we will always remember…. With sincere sympathy, Lea Haggerty Barbee – Class of ’66
Betty Ruth and Ruth Ann, Jerry and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of John. We shall truly miss him and have indeed enjoyed lunching with you and John at Gardners on many occasions. Jerry considers you one of his favorite cousins and is so greatful that he got to meet some of his birth family members. Hopefully we will be down to Rocky Mount and lunch with you soon. God Bless you and comfort you during this time. Love to you both, Amy & Jerry Bradley, Petersburg, VA
